It is a nearly unknown story. A certain famous French gypsy jazz guitarist stopped over in Piraeus harbour one night in the '30s. Entering into a waterside bar for a drink, he met none other than the legendary Zorba. After a couple of rounds of retsina and ouzo, he took out his guitar, lit a Gauloise sans filtre and started to play. Zorba took the music to heart and danced the night away. Guitarist and dancer fused into one and thus was born a new style of music. Once Zorba had finished dancing, the guitarist packed his guitar away and took the first boat in the morning to Italy. He never returned to Piraeus. The dancing music that was played that night nearly died. However Djorba's Zango heard this story from an old man they met in a Piraeus bar who was the son of the waitress working that night. Djorba's Zango tries to resuscitate that music...
